For too long, technical industries have been seen as male-dominated fields, but women continue to challenge expectations—proving that expertise, leadership, and innovation know no gender. At Bureau Veritas Indonesia, we recognize the invaluable contributions of women across all roles in our projects, from engineering and quality assurance to business development and administration. Their dedication, resilience, and expertise drive progress, ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.

Creating an Inclusive Environment for Women in Projects

Diversity is not just a value at Bureau Veritas—it’s a strength that fuels innovation. We believe that every team member, regardless of their background, deserves equal opportunities to thrive. Whether in engineering, project management, administration, or business development, women at Bureau Veritas Indonesia play a crucial role in shaping the future of our industry.

We understand the challenges women often face in traditionally male-dominated fields, from representation and career progression to work-life balance. That’s why we actively promote inclusive policies, leadership opportunities, and mentorship programs to support their growth and success.

Meet the Women Redefining Industry at Bureau Veritas Indonesia

Ms. Diva – Building & Infrastructure Team
For Ms. Diva, her work in the Building & Infrastructure team is more than just technical oversight—it’s about ensuring that construction projects meet the highest quality and safety standards. Her expertise contributes to the development of resilient and sustainable urban spaces, proving that women have a vital role in shaping Indonesia’s infrastructure.

“Engineering is not just about structures and calculations—it’s about creating safe, efficient, and sustainable environments for people. I am proud to be part of a team that makes this vision a reality,” she shares.

Ms. Gigih – Social Audit and Compliance Auditor
In an era where ethical business practices and compliance are more critical than ever, Ms. Gigih plays a vital role in ensuring that companies meet global social and compliance standards. As a Social Audit and Compliance Auditor, she helps businesses uphold labour rights, workplace safety, and corporate responsibility—fostering trust among stakeholders and driving positive change across industries.

“Social auditing goes beyond checking compliance; it’s about ensuring fair treatment, ethical business practices, and long-term sustainability. At Bureau Veritas, I am proud to contribute to a system that holds industries accountable while continuously improving workplace standards,” she shares.

Mrs. Karmila – Project Coordinator
The industrial sector presents some of the most complex project challenges, and Mrs. Karmila, part of our Project Team, plays a key role in ensuring quality assurance for large-scale projects. Her leadership and resilience highlight the significant contributions women make in industrial project management. As Mom and Workers, I found a balance of working environment in Bureau Veritas where I have career and still manage my personal life.

“Every project is an opportunity to innovate and solve real-world challenges. Being in this field allows me to contribute to something bigger—driving industry growth while ensuring quality and safety for all,” she says.

Empowering Women to Lead the Future
The presence of women in engineering, auditing, project management, business development, and administration is not just about representation—it’s about unlocking new perspectives, driving innovation, and creating a more balanced, forward-thinking industry.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the achievements of women in all areas of our projects and the possibilities they inspire. At Bureau Veritas Indonesia, we don’t just support women in technical industries—we empower them to lead.
