Bureau Veritas Indonesia Holds Kick-Off Meeting for Construction Management of the Embassy of Belgium

Bureau Veritas Indonesia is pleased to announce the commencement of its role as the construction management partner for the new Embassy of Belgium in Indonesia. Strategically located in the centre of Jakarta, this prestigious project represents a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two nations.

The kick-off meeting was held at the Belgian Ambassador’s Residence and was attended by H.E. Frank Felix, Ambassador of Belgium to Indonesia and Timor-Leste, along with esteemed representatives from the Belgian government. This event marked the official launch of a project that reflects Bureau Veritas's commitment to excellence and sustainability.

Bureau Veritas's historical ties to Belgium further underscore the significance of this collaboration. Founded in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1828 as the Bureau de renseignements pour les assurances maritimes (Information Office for Maritime Insurance), the organisation was established with the mission to "establish the truth and expose without apprehension or favoritism." Initially focused on providing insurers with critical information to assess the reliability of ships and equipment, Bureau Veritas quickly earned a reputation for trust and integrity. The company adopted the name "Bureau Veritas" in 1829 and, in 1833, relocated its headquarters to Paris, where it evolved into a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services.
